The SEC and other regulators should have sounded the alarm and the feds could certainly had told Americans that things were going to get rough. I'm not happy to be the owner of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and AIG either, but it looks like we'll have to live with this for now. Where is the accountability? I also have to wonder how any intelligent company thought that loaning money like this was a good idea.
