The Article Writer Mailbag, Take 10

This week is “Mailbag Week” where I answer some of the questions recently asked by my beloved readers, customers, and colleagues.

Q. I would like to exchange links with you, buy advertising, tag you for an article, have you write a meme, etc.

A. I appreciate the many requests I get for link exchanges, purchases, advertising, memes, tags, etc. The nature of my business has been changing tremendously, so I’ll share with you my current blogging strategy.

Link Exchanges/Purchases — I am re-evaluating my entire linking strategy particularly as it pertains to my Reciprocity (Blogroll) section and footer links. Because Google is taking a different approach to link selling while the number of links on my sidebar is maxed out, I have put all of this on hold. Probably in early 2008 I’ll revisit the issue when a number of link arrangements expire and Google brings clarity to this issue.

Advertising — The only advertising I currently run on this site is Text Link Ads. However, that may soon change particularly if I am penalized for having paid links. Other than that, feel free to contact me with your advertising proposal and I will give it my full attention.

Memes, Tags — I no longer participate in memes and If I am tagged I don’t write the article. I run this blog to coincide with my business model — professional writing, web development, and consulting — and I stay focused on topics relevant to this blog. I am generous with my link love with many readers taking part in my ongoing StumbleQuest 2008 Smackdown Campaign, a great way for you to get some quality stumbles. The last I checked, I have a few slots (friends) still available.
