Yet Another Social Community
Establishing a personal network is easy via the internet as social communities allow for people from all over the globe to gather together at one place to read each other’s profiles, visit and comment on blogs and web sites, and add these folks as your “friends.” MySpace is probably the most popular community of this type, but there are countless other ones scattered across cyberspace.
Spicypage is a new community, established just one month ago. I found this site through MyBlogLog, another popular and fast rising social community.
“The best of the web at a glance,” is the motto of the Spicypage community. There, members can add their personal sites to the list of sites to preview (or others that they like) and vote on them. Although you need not visit the site mentioned in order to vote, one of the reasons for joining Spicypage is to put your blog or web pages out in front of the world to attract visitors and to make friends. A bit of free advertising that could yield increased traffic and business if that is something that you are seeking.
I signed up yesterday and promptly added my Corporate Flight Attendant Community site to the mix. I have others to add, but as of this writing I’ll simply be monitoring the effectiveness of yet another social community destination and the impact that it does or does not have on my business.
