Embrace the S-L-O-W Times
Wouldn’t you know it, but I am in the midst of a very slow time. No articles to write, nothing new on the horizon. I am not worried, instead I take comfort in a Bible verse found in Philippians 4:19 — “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” No, I don’t expect God to provide big bucks for me. Instead, I have learned to trust in someone else, someone possessing heavenly riches who desires to share it with His children. So, whatever comes my way I am sure it will be in His perfect timing…even if it is an imperfect editing job!
That all said, the waiting for work can be a trial in and of itself. Typically, when it is slow, I tie up all of my loose ends. You know, the projects of varying size you want to do “if I only had the time,” but put off because of a serious lack of time at that moment. Right now, I have an abundance of time, so the unfinished work is getting done. Yippee!
Stay tuned too. Although I am not likely to publicly grouse about too much work/too little time, I am certain that those moments will fast be upon me. At least I hope [and pray] that it will!
