DHTML and Your Site

I mentioned yesterday that I added a new offer to my site concerning “content infusion.” What I didn’t mention was the DHTML — dynamic hypertext markup language — I used to create part of the document.

Because the document was so long, I decided to “compress” the question section to have it so that visitors could click on the question and then the answer would expand out. Although I only used four questions, it did save me some room and it looks very good.

DHTML is a cool resource, if used wisely. I don’t like a lot of the stuff that flies in front of my face or intrudes on my reading area, but there are some good applications including what I used on the content infusion page as well as how I get the pictures on the home page of my corporate flight attendant site to slide through.

One caveat regarding using DHTML: not every application of DHTML works with every browser. Make certain that if it doesn’t work that the information you include is still readable even if all the dynamic stuff is left out.
