SEO and Your Site
One of the things that concerns many of my clients is SEO. You know, search engine optimization, and just how well their site will be positioned on the internet, particularly via popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN.
When I write, I utilize customer designated keywords to help generate website traffic for my clients. Still, if an article is submitted to one of the many, many article directories out there, utilizing the author’s resource box properly is critical to gaining healthy backlinks to your site once others have picked up your article.
As it currently stands, few directories allow authors to link within the body of their article. Instead, most allow three links to different pages within the resouce box with EzineArticles now allowing you only two. Links must be to sites you control, not to third party sites.
I never guarantee the success of any article I write to do well with the search engines. That is the client’s job. Keywords are important, but putting in relevant links to pages on your site is critical. Carefully select those pages you want to feature in order to generate the traffic you desire.
