I’ve been watching Suite101 for some time, and had a contract to write a course for them. They put that course on hold when they ran into financial difficulty.
I’ve come across some rather bad press within the online writers’ community about them. (Not paying, arbitrarily changing the terms of their contracts, etc.)
I’d be curious to know how many people take them up on their latest offer. The pay is a pittance and the work considerable, particularly as they are looking for “opinion leaders.” This is not the place to build a portfolio, it seems. But I would love to be proven wrong.

Thanks, Vicki.
It is unfortunate when companies hire people only to change the ground rules once the project starts.
Just so everyone knows, I am not endorsing Suite101.com; if they don’t pay or aren’t what they say they are then they should be avoided at all costs.
